Summit Description
As testers, we pretty much agree that at least part of the value we bring to a project is a keen eye for identifying "stuff that doesn't feel or seem to be right or good". Interestingly, when these same testers are asked "How do you know which stuff that is?" there is very little commonality to their responses. Some define "right" as "matching requirements". Others define it as "happy users". Yet others say "It's not really about right or good, it's all just information." So what's the deal? *Is* there an answer to this question, or is it just another one of those "it depends" scenarios? And if it depends, what *exactly* does it depend *on*?
These are the kinds of questions that we will be asking some of the most knowledgeable, experienced, and well respected testers from around the world to address, each from their own perspective and experience. If you've ever asked yourself "Is this a bug?" or "Ok, I executed the test, but I don't understand the result.
