The Strategic Advisory Board assists Software Test Professionals Association in determining the direction and strategy of the organization in serving the software development and testing community. With input from the SAB, STP will focus and deliver information to help professionals prepare and meet tomorrow's industry challenges.
The Board is an independent, non-partisan, and broadly representative body consisting of a balanced mix of the diverse interests that are affected by the STP association. As set forth in its charter, the primary mission of the board is to advise and counsel, to provide advice related to product development, industry trends, membership needs and their impact on the association; to assist the association and its programs in remaining responsive to the needs of members, business, industry, education and communities; to identify collaborative educational and research opportunities to assist the association; serve as a source of ideas and support for member development and to be an advocate for membership growth.
The goal of the Board is to develop consensus policy recommendations and advice. When this is not possible, the Board will convey its recommendations and advice in a manner that communicates the points of view expressed by all Board members. The Board’s function is to advise, not to govern.
