STP Online Summit: Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the event located?
Because this event is entirely online, you can attend from the comfort of your home or office.

How do I register for the online summit?
You can register for the STP Online Summit two ways:

What is the registration fee for the online summit?
The registration fee for the STP Online Summit is $245 USD.

What is included with my registration fee?
A comprehensive program including 9 one-hour sessions delivered by experienced presenters, all session presentations and handouts, session recordings, and networking activities.

Are there any discounts available?
Yes. There are three discounts you can take advantage of:
  1. You can receive a $50 early registration discount if you register before 11:59 PM MT on March 1, 2013.
  2. You can receive a 10% STP Online Summit Alumni discount if you have attended a past STP Online Summit.  Please email Abbie Caracostas for more information on that.
  3. You can receive one (1) free STP Online Summit registration by becoming a Pro Member of the Software Test Professionals Community.
What are the dates and times of the sessions?

How long are the sessions?
Each session will be 50-55 minutes in duration.

How do I log in to the summit sessions?
The Thursday before the Summit begins, you will receive an e-mail from GoToWebinar.Notifications@citrixonline.com that contains the link to the summit sessions as well as your password. When the day and the time of the first session arrives, simply click the link to get logged in.

If I can’t attend one of the sessions, will I be able to access the recording?
Yes. You will have access to the session recording. We will provide you with a recording that you can watch online at a later time. All session recordings will be posted in the Finding Defects Crew on the STP website. Even if you attend the event, you will still have access to the recordings.

Will I have access to the session handouts and slide presentations?
Yes. You will have access to all of the session handouts and slide presentations. You will be able to download and review all session handouts and slide presentations in the Finding Defects Crew on the STP website. Feel free to print the handouts and presentations if you’d like to take notes during each session.

How can I ask questions during the session?
You can ask questions online at anytime during the session by using the chat feature in our live meeting platform. The summit host will be monitoring the chat and feeding questions to the speaker.

How do I access the discussion forum?
You will be able to access presentations, handouts and session recordings through the exclusive Finding Defects crew on the STP website.  The crew will be activated on Monday, March 11th.  In order for STP to grant you access to this crew you must be a Basic Member of the Software Test Professionals community. Basic Membership is complimentary. If you are not a member of STP, please visit http://www.softwaretestpro.com/membership.aspx to set up your account. 

What is STP’s payment policy?
To expedite your registration, please have your Visa, Mastercard, or American Express card available when registering. You may choose to be invoiced for the summit registration fee. Invoices are payable upon receipt and pre-payment (or federal government purchase order) is required prior to attendance. Please make checks payable to Redwood Collaborative Media.

What is the cancellation policy for the online summit?
All cancellations must be made in writing. You may cancel without penalty until March 8, 2013, after which a $50 cancellation fee will be charged. No-shows and cancellations made after close of business on March 11, 2013 will be charged the full STP Online Summit rate.
