Title:
Controversies in Quality Metrics
Speaker: Yvette Francino, Site Editor, SearchSoftwareQuality.com
Date: Wednesday, December 14, 2011
Time: 10:00 AM PT - 11:05 AM PT

One of the most controversial subjects in software development is quality metrics. Metrics are meant to answer questions such as: Is the quality of the product improving? How do you know when your product is ready to deploy? How do you know how much value your QA team is adding to the team? Industry leaders have been arguing for years about how to measure quality and the value that software testing provides. As site editor of SearchSoftwareQuality, Yvette Francino has interviewed experts who weigh in on how to best measure quality, sometimes with very differing opinions. In this interview we'll explore the diversity of opinions and methods of measuring quality and talk a little about why this can cause such a heated debate.
