James
Whittaker's recently gave a talk titled "All this testing is getting in the way of quality"
from
STARWEST. Meanwhile, his colleague Alberto Savoia gve a
talk at Google's Test Automation Conference titled "Test is dead."
As I have said before, I think those talks are worth listening to, if at least to understand
the arguments they are making. While I do not endorse those ideas, I do
think they are worth an investment of your time, and, considering they are fee, well ...
the price is right.
At the same time, we at STPCon wanted to present to you our own analysis, so I assembled our panel of experts, including recurring guest
Scott Barber, my friend
Ben Yaroch, and new comer
Patrick Sullivan, an internal development and test coach at Progressive Insurance in Mayfield Village, Ohio.
This week we'll have part one of the two-part series -- digesting test is dead and responding to it; we hope you'll like it.
Enjoy the show!
