Twist #82 - Getting Hired, Part I

podcast

A few weeks ago, we talked about the interviewing process and the challenges managers face when hiring testers. This time around, we approach the issue from the other side, the testers looking to get hired for those jobs.

Are you tired of playing the same old games of submitting resumes into the black hole of hiring agencies and web sites? Isn't there a better way to market your talents and get people's attention? Well, frankly, this panel believes the answer is "Yes".

Matt and Michael are joined by Claire Moss, Wade Wachs and Ben Yaroch and discuss the unique opportunities a more socially connected and discoverable web can provide enterprising testers (and also less extroverted sorts). A little creativity and some daring promises to yourself, and a willingness to put yourself out there, could be the difference between being one of many, and being "the one" that they are seeking.

But enough from us, have a listen and decide for yourself.
