Matthew Angerer

Matt Angerer is a Retail Software QA Leader at METTLER TOLEDO. Prior to assuming this position with METTLER TOLEDO, Matt spent nearly 10 years as a traveling ERP (enterprise resource planning) and APS (advanced planning systems) consultant. Throughout his professional career, Matt has managed and consulted in a broad range of areas, including: supply chain planning, IV&V, software training, test management, and systems integration. He has experience assisting Fortune 500 companies, large utility organizations, financial organizations, and government agencies such as: AVON Products, Unilever Corporation, Wisconsin Public Services Corporation, The Imperial Irrigation District, Nationwide Financial, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, State of Ohio, and the Defense Logistics Agency. Matt's previous implementation experience covers some of the leading vendors in the retail, defense, financial, and healthcare space. These include SAP NetWeaver, JDA Demand Management, Sterling Commerce's Gentran Integration Suite, Microsoft's SharePoint Portal Server, IBM's DataPower and WebSphere Message Broker, and HP's interChange Medicaid Processing System. Matt received his bachelor's degree in operations and information systems management from Penn State's Smeal College of Business Administration - a program which was recently ranked #1 among all supply chain/operations colleges in North America according to a survey of supply chain practitioners and academics throughout Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Other educational and professional undertakings include the pursuit of an M.S. in Information Technology from Quinnipiac University (anticipated 2012), HP Certified Professional IT certification in Quality Center and Quick Test Professional, and IBM Certified SOA Associate. Matt is also planning on sitting for the PMP exam later this year to more deeply understand how the PMBOK's Project Management techniques tie into Software Quality Assurance methodologies. Matt has been published in leading IT trade publications in recent years. Such publications include Business Solutions Magazine, Integrated Solutions Magazine, and Retail Solutions Online. He enjoys contributing thought leadership articles on Software Quality Assurance and Test Management in his spare time. Pursuits outside of work include spending time with his wife, trail running, mountain biking, and playing fetch with his dog, Henry. Matt has participated in organized running events in recent years and plans on completing the Presque Isle Half Marathon for the second time this summer.
