Agile
What the Movie “Cars” Can Help Us Understand About Agile Testing - For those who are reading this article thinking “O Boy! This guy is way wrong”, please take a moment and consider the Disney movie Cars. In the movie the “more mature” car “Doc Hudson” is going to race the young faster better race car “Lightning McQueen”. Now they are on a track (environment) that McQueen had never raced in that environment. As a result when he tried it he crashed.

Requirements
My favorite book is Digital Fortress by Dan Brown. Without ruining the book for those that have not read it there is a great quote in the book. The phrase “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes” is Latin for “Who guards the guards” I believe this is from the Roman poet Juvenal. The interesting point here is on an Agile team when the developers build and run unit tests, or even integration tests, who checks these?

In the area of software development and specifically testing and quality assurance I am calling “GAME ON!” The cars have passed and big companies are starting to do some major hiring especially in the Phoenix Metro area where I work.
