Jimmy Middleton is the Manager for the Revenue Program/Project Test Lead team.
• Test plans for over-threshold Corporate Release projects.

Jimmy joined FedEx in 2005 and has performed multiple roles within the Software Quality Assurance organization. As PMO manager, implemented the enterprise defect management system, collaborated with the University of Memphis to create a Software Testing Excellence Program (STEP) and managed the development of schedules which implemented the pilot of Ready Release time savings for automation enhancements to shipping and scanning, offshore shifts and progressive regression revenue testing. Responsible for the chairing of the daily Corporate Release call and Automation defect meetings.
As manager of the SQA shipping team, first to implement SourceForge document repository and lead numerous quality improvements resulting in a decrease of 87% in test data issues and 13% decrease in test execution issues. Established a "SWAT" team to efficiently address revenue impacting defects found during testing. Managed the creation of a virtual lights out lab for shipping with a total cost avoidance of over $200 thousand dollars.
In his current role as PTL Manager, leading the overall testing responsibilities for multiple key strategic over-threshold IT projects.
Jimmy is an experienced Information Technology project manager and during his 30 + years in IT has lead teams through all phases of large-scale technology rollouts including research, analysis, planning, development, and implementation. He is an innovative thinker with solid record of achievement facilitating transition of systems from concept to full operation. Proven ability to manage and motivate diverse teams to maximize productivity. Excellent communicator, with emphasis on building trust and loyalty at all levels.
